Elfie 2014 - Still going strong!

Can you believe that this is the 4th year Elfie has visited our house? Me either! Now, not only are the bigger boys anticipating his daily antics, but the twins are getting quite a kick out of finding him each morning. I honestly didn't expect them to really notice him yet this year but most mornings they point him out and grunt and laugh, repeatedly going back to his spot to show us. That newness through their eyes is an added bonus to this December tradition we have grown to love. So what's he been up to? Let's take a look:

He kicked off the season with our 3rd annual North Pole Breakfast. Delicious as always!
He tested out the jet pack Jordan invented and got stuck...oops!
The kids got behind on their advent calendars so Elfie helped them out a bit.
Just taking a soak!
Elfie brought their new ornaments for the year on tree decorating day.
Hanging out on the fire truck (we were seeing Santa at the Fire Station that day, I think he wanted to feel included)
Must have wanted a late night snack - why not popcorn?
The next day him and the angel swapped spots.
He was too warm and missing home so decided to "chill" in the freezer!
Elfie saving Woody from the evil ogre who was trying to feed him to the shark (Jessie was helping, she was just outside the picture on the line)
Whew...he's been busy already! What has your elf been up to this year?

North Pole Breakfast 2013

Our mischievous elf friend, Elfie, has officially made his debut and decided to surprise us with a North Pole Breakfast to kick off this Christmas season.
The boys came out this morning to find a note that Nathan promptly read aloud to his siblings.
They practiced their best "CHEERS" while I put together all the goodies that Elfie had been gracious enough to bring for our special breakfast.
He brought all their favorite special treats - strawberries, sausage, donuts and eggnog. Oh boy!
There is so much to be thankful for on this December morning, so we remembered to say grace before digging in to the feast.
Be on the lookout for all the creative, messy, silly things this elf is likely to have in store for us this year. Happy December everyone!

**This is our second experience with a North Pole Breakfast. If you want to read about the first one, check it out HERE.**

North Pole Breakfast

Elfie is back! In case you are newer to my blog, Elfie is the name of our Elf on a Shelf. Still confused? Type Elfie in the search box at the top of my blog and you can read up on all my posts from last year.

This is his second year coming to our house and boy did he come with a bang! The boys woke up to a fully decorated dining room with ribbons on the chairs, pictures on the wall totally covered in wrapping paper, and silver bells and snowflakes hanging from the ceiling.

Each of the kids had a personalized letter from Elfie reminding them to be good so they can stay on the nice list. In his lap was a note to me asking me to kindly fix up the food he had brought since he was so tired from traveling and decorating.

Turns out Elfie had brought all the fixings for a proper North Pole Breakfast complete with powdered donuts, berries, bacon and eggnog. Everything got wolfed up in no time and even our Little Guy was caught stuffing his face, mostly full of berries:)

We donned our Seahawk Santa hats because after all, that is appropriate attire for a North Pole Breakfast in the Pacific Northwest!
I can't wait to see what other things Elfie has up his sleeve as we count down to Christmas. Be looking for weekly updates to see all the fun things Elfie brings and does while staying at our house.

(P.S. - For any elves out there looking to duplicate this at their house, I heard that our elf used mostly decorations we had on hand and got the rest at the Dollar Tree and only spent around $10. That frugal little elf!;)

**Here is a post about our 2013 NPB for those interested**
